Ye Olde Woodworking Shoppe

One might think, just based on the page title, that I was throwback in time; some old world woodworker.  Unfortunately, nothing could be farther from the truth.  It is one of my great aspirations, but in the meantime, I have a shop full of power tools.  Actually, for about the last year or so, it's been in total disarray, but the dreams I have for it are below.  Or, at least that's what it'll be when I get just a couple of the tools that are missing.  I won't show any of the real pics of the whole shop, as I could be held liable for blinding someone... it's a real mess!  I'll show chunks of it as time goes by, and I get it cleaned up.

As you can see below, it's sort of tight, but on the up side, everything is within "arm's reach."  Seriously, almost everything is on wheels, and as I live in Florida, I'm just a garage door away from scooting a couple of things out of the way and getting a little breathing room.  That gives me plenty of room to work.  And, except for the five months in the dead of summer and the three days of winter, the weather here is ususally pretty good, so opening up the garage is a great way to get some fresh air.  Anyway, if you need a copy of the shop pic in Visio format, you can get it here.

Resources

The shop layout pic above is just a .jpg, but I couldn't have done it without the Visio stencil created by Harvey Chute, which he has graciously given to the world at large.  Simply go fetch it from the site below.  Kudos, Harvey.  Thanks.

If you don't have Visio, or for whatever reason, you don't want to do it this way, you can go to Delta's website and use the Delta Shop Designer.
