Kreg Pocket Hole Jig

The quickest woodworking joint one can make is a butt joint.  The weakest woodworking joint one can make is also a butt joint.  Pocket hole screws add considerable strength to this joint.  For light duty work, like face frames or picture frames, nothing is quicker than pocket hole joinery.  And, the tool of choice for pocket holes is the Kreg Jig.

In the realm of pocket hole jigs, Kreg sells everything from the highly portable Mini Jig Kit to the formidable K3 Master Jig kit.  A few minutes of setup with a K3 and you can crank out a lot of work in a little while.  For production shops, Kreg sells several dedicated machines.

I started off with the Mini Jig.  I figured for $20.00 I could give it a try.  I only used it a few time before I saw its quality and utility, and quickly worked up to a K3.  It's a little pricy, but if you buy into the system (pardon the pun), it will give you benefits quickly.  Give this jig a try, and you'll be hooked.

If you can't find your Kreg Jig manual, here's the English portion of it.
